In Canada, being a lawyer remains a prestigious profession. In 2024, 7,057 individuals applied to law schools in Canada, which represents a 6.5 per cent increase of applicants from 2023. The general public assumes that most lawyers are high earners. However, having a law degree and a law licence does not automatically mean that a lawyer will be successful.
