By Alisha Kapur ( August 2, 2024, 10:30 AM EDT) -- The Veterinary Professions Act, 2024 (the Act) will replace Ontario’s current Veterinarians Act and introduce changes to the regulation of veterinary medicine that will affect veterinarians and Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) in the province. The current College of Veterinarians of Ontario will transition into the College of Veterinary Professionals of Ontario (CVPO) and will undergo internal changes to modernize and improve animal care and protection in Ontario.
