Not only did her wrongful dismissal claim fail, but her former employer succeeded in a counterclaim and was awarded compensation for the stolen time. Does that mean that employers have a new arrow in their quiver — an ability to sue former employees for damages? Well, yes and no; or as we HR lawyers say, it depends....
