What was once a niche activist shareholder concern has grown to dominate the discussion. The socio-political issues raised by ESG and the questions being asked about the role of the corporation will be debated for years. In the meantime, with an acronym-rich array of reporting standards available and rapidly developing regulatory initiatives, how are boards, executives and in-house legal advisers supposed to stay on top of things?
