The Supreme Court of Canada has ruled Quebec must pay $767,745.58 to a local First Nations band council for deficits the band incurred in running its community-based police force and that the province failed both to act in good faith and uphold the honour of the Crown during contract renewal negotiations: Quebec (Attorney General) v.
