Law360 Canada (February 19, 2020, 1:28 PM EST) -- Five months after its launch, the University of Windsor Faculty of Law’s Class Action Clinic has expanded. To keep up with public demand, the clinic has added two more students to its roster in addition to staff lawyer Andrew Eckart.

According to the university’s press release, Eckart is a lawyer, mediator and sessional instructor of torts at the Faculty of Law. In his new role, he will oversee the clinic students, provide legal services to clients and be responsible for the clinic’s day-to-day operation.

“Andrew brings a wealth of class action experience and knowledge, as well as several years of teaching experience,” said clinic director and Windsor Law professor Jasminka Kalajdzic. “He will be an invaluable resource for both students, whose work he will oversee and clients of the clinic, who he will serve.”

The new students, both in their second year of law school, will assist class members with claims forms and other matters, and will develop public legal education material.
